1963 Chevy Impala Z11

The Impala is an iconic model that makes this list on a technicality. Despite being made in 1957, Chevy turned this classic car into a muscle car with the release of the 1963 Z11. This version packed a race-tuned 427 ci Z11 V8 that could go 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and an aluminum body weighing 300 pounds less, making the car faster and more aerodynamic. Only 57 of these cars were produced, largely designed for the specialty racing function, making it a prized rarity for collectors of muscle cars everywhere.

1969 Chevy Camaro ZL1
A rare release that’s real special. Only 69 were ever made of the Camaro ZL1, a sleek model with fine lines that packed power under the hood. While specs for the Chevy’s 427ci ZL1 aluminum V8 engine’s power only listed 425- hp at 5,600 rpm, a test with open headers could produce around 550 hp.
